In addition, the natural carbohydrate content in green coconut water supports the energy supply that contributes to increased cardiorespiratory endurance and VO 2 Max. Compared to artificial electrolyte drinks, green coconut water is more effective in maintaining hydration without causing side effects , such as hypoglycemia and digestive disorders. Green coconut water can be a natural and effective hydration alternative for athletes, helping them maintain optimal performance during training and matches. This study recommends consuming green coconut water as a hydration strategy for adolescent soccer athletes to optimize fitness and physical endurance. Dehidrasi dapat menurunkan daya tahan fisik, meningkatkan kelelahan, dan mengurangi kapasitas VO 2 Maks atlet. Air kelapa muda merupakan sumber hidrasi alami yang kaya akan elektrolit seperti kalium dan natrium yang berperan dalam menjaga keseimbangan cairan tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi peran air kelapa muda dalam mendukung status hidrasi dan performa atlet sepak bola remaja melalui pendekatan narrative literature review. Berbagai studi menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi air kelapa muda sebelum, selama, dan setelah aktivitas fisik dapat meningkatkan efisiensi rehidrasi, mempercepat pemulihan, serta menurunkan kadar laktat dehydrogenase (LDH) yang merupakan indikator stres oksidatif dan kerusakan otot. Selain itu, kandungan karbohidrat alami dalam air kelapa muda mendukung suplai energi yang berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan daya tahan kardiorespirasi dan VO 2 Maks. Dibandingkan dengan minuman elektrolit buatan, air kelapa muda lebih efektif dalam mempertahankan hidrasi tanpa menimbulkan efek samping seperti hipoglikemia dan gangguan pencernaan. Air kelapa muda dapat menjadi alternatif hidrasi yang alami dan efektif bagi atlet, membantu mereka mempertahankan performa optimal selama latihan maupun pertandingan. Kajian ini merekomendasikan konsumsi air kelapa muda sebagai bagian dari strategi hidrasi bagi atlet sepak bola remaja untuk mengoptimalkan kebugaran dan daya tahan fisik.
