Author Guidelines

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. The scope of article study should be in the area of clinical nutrition and dietetics, food services, and community nutrition.
  2. Prior the acceptance of the article, author should complete the form of submission declaration together with the submitted manuscript. Please sign, scan and place it on the first page of the article.
  3. Article those have already presented in the conferences should be mentioned in the footnote. 
  4. The manuscript should be written in Microsoft Word program, A4 paper in single column form, Font: Times New Roman 11, line spacing 1.5 with 2 cm margins each side.  Manuscripts should be in 20 pages including graphs and tables without written page number.
  5. Manuscript should be prepared in the structure of article as follows: Tittle, Author, Abstract with keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment (optional), References.
  6. The submitted article should be original and sent by online to  https://ejournal3.undip.ac.id/index.php/jnc/user/register
  7. The final decision will be confirmed by correspondence email.

 

MANUSCRIPT TEMPLATE

The manuscript should be prepared according to this following guidelines and template. Download for JNC template


ARTICLE STRUCTURE

1. All of the article body tittle, should be written in the font of: Capital and Bold letter (UPPER CASE), furthermore for the sub tittle should be written in font of: Tittle Case.

2. Tittle

  • Title must be in English. Tittle should describe clearly the study, concise, informative, no more than 20 words. The capital letter is only used in the beginning of tittle in 16 pts. 

3. Author name and affiliation

  • The author name should be written without academic tittle, and present the author affiliation under the article tittle, indicate complete address, post code, telephone number and fax, also email. 
  • If a research team writes article, please only write the correspondence address of one of the author.

4. Abstract

  • A concise and factual abstract is required in 200-250 words.  Abstract must be written in Indonesian and English. 
  • The abstract should state briefly Background, Objective, Materials and Methods, Results and Conclusion.   
  • Immediately after abstract, provide a maximum 5 keywords and please avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts. 

 5. Background

  • In Background, Authors should state gap analysis and concise literature survey. Author should state the objectives of the work at the end of background section.

6. Methods

  • Methods should cover the research design, time, population / sample / Research`s subject, variable, collecting data technique and data analysis technique. 
  • For research in laboratory : Please specify clearly the instrument those are used to analyze sample
  • Experimental research : Please identify clearly the primary materials in the study.
  • For research those needed ethical clearance, please attach the document proven by ethical commission

7. Result

  • Result should be clear and concise.  The results should summarize (scientific) findings rather than providing data in great detail. Result of study may perform figure, table and result analysis related to objectives of research. Ensure that table and figure have clear captions. 
  • Supply caption of figure separately, not attached to the figure. A caption should comprise a brief tittle and a description of illustration.  Keep text in the illustration themselves to a minimum but explain all symbol and abbreviations used.
  • Please submit tables as editable text and not as images. Put the title of table above the table and any notes under the table body. Put the title of figure/chart under the figure/chart body. Place number of table and figure/ chart consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text

8. Discussions

  • Discussion should explore the significance of the result of work, please do not repeat them. 
  • Support the result of work with related theory, concise citations and discussion of published literature.
  • The following components should be covered in discussion: How do your results relate to the original question or objectives outlined in the Introduction section (what/how)? Do you provide interpretation scientifically for each of your results or findings presented (why)? Are your results consistent with what other investigators have reported (what else)? Or are there any differences?

9. Conclusion

  • The conclusion should answer of objective of study and the suggestion base on the finding of research.

10. Acknowledgment (optional)

  • List the individuals who provide help during research including institutions

11. References

  • Please ensure that every references cited in the text is also present in the reference list. Reference lists are checked for accuracy. References can only be linked via Crossref if they are correct and complete.
  • The reference style should follow Vancouver superscript style and used the reference management software like Endnote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc.

  • The abbreviation tittle of article should follow the list abbreviation in the ISI Journal tittle Abbreviation as can be seen at http://www.efm.leeds.ac.uk/~mark/ISIabbr/A_abrvjt.html
  • It is not permitted to refer abstract only for references
  • At least more than 80% references are primary references, published in the last 10 years. 
  • The references of article those already accepted in magazine before published should be written as in press or forthcoming.  References those only submitted in magazine should be written as unpublished observation.  This article could only used if it is very important in supporting article and should ask the author in written permission.
