Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen laboratorium. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan (16 watt, 23 watt, 45 watt), tiga kali ulangan. Analisis dan pengolahan data menggunakan program SPSS 20. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukan bahwa cahaya tidak berpengaruh nyata pada Kandungan Klorofil-a S. platensis. dan Intensitas cahaya terbaik pada kandungan Klorofil-a dari lampu 23 watt. One of the species of microalgae that has been widely utilized is Spirulina platensis. Pigments of Chlorophyll-a in S. platensis are photosynthesis pigments. Light is one of the environmental factor that is very influential in cultivating microalgae. This study was aimed to know the effects of different light intensities on the density and chlorophyll-a content of S. platensis, to know the best light intensities. The methods used in this research is a method of laboratory experiments. This study was using random sampling methods with three treatment of three different light intensities (16 watt, 23 watt and 45 watt), and three repetition. Analysis and data processing was using SPSS 20 program.
