Adapun aspek yang dapat ditinjau dalam mengevaluasi keberhasilan replantasi hutan mangrove ini adalah kembalinya fungsi ekologis hutan mangrove, diantaranya adalah penyedia habitat berbagai biota seperti Uca sp. Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui wilayah hasil replantasi yang mampu menyediakan habitat bagi Uca sp.Tujuan khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah mengetahui keberadaan berbagai ukuran karapas Uca sp. sebagai indikasi kesesuaian habitat dan mengetahui kepadatan Uca sp. berdasarkan wilayah tanpa mangrove dan wilayah mangrove dengan jenis mangrove Rhizophora sp. berumur tiga bulan dan satu tahun. Sampel Uca sp. dan substrat diambil dari tiga zona dengan tiga kali pengulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa zona replantasi mangrove berumur satu tahun merupakan habitat bagi Uca sp. dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai kepadatan Uca sp. pada zona tanpa mangrove dan zona dengan perbedaan umur replantasi mangrove. Most of the coastal forest in Indonesia have been damaged, including the area around the coastal village of Mangunharjo, District of Tugu, Semarang. This damage is mainly caused by negative human activities. The loss and destruction of mangrove areas in some coastal areas have resulted the disfunction of mangrove in physical, ecological, and economical aspects. One of the solution to this problem is a replantation of mangrove. One of the variabel indicating the success of replantation is the return of the ecological function, for example providing the habitat for many organisms such as Uca sp. The general objective of this research was to determine which area that is able to provide habitat for Uca sp. The specific objectives were to know the existence of various sizes of the carapaces as an indication of the suitable habitat and to know the density of Uca sp. between non-mangrove area and those with mangrove areas with species Rhizophora sp. the age of three months and the age of one year. Uca sp. and substrate samples were taken from three zones with three repetition.
