Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei yang bersifat deskriptif. Metode sampling yang digunakan pada kegiatan penelitian ini yaitu penentuan lokasi sampling, pengambilan data penutupan karang, pengambilan data kelimpahan bulu babi. Pengukuran parameter kimia dan fisika berupa arus, suhu, salinitas, pH, kedalaman, kecerahan, dan bahan organik. Analisis data meliputi penutupan karang, kerapatan lamun, kelimpahan bulu babi, indeks keanekaragaman, dan indeks keseragaman. Penutupan substrat dasar pada lingkungan ekosistem karang di pantai Sundak didominasi oleh karang mati dengan presentase sebesar 62,2%, pecahan karang 24,25%, dan pasir 13,5%. Sedangkan kerapatan lamun di pantai Sundak sebesar 68 ind/m 2 . Kelimpahan bulu babi di pantai Sundak pada ekosistem karang dan lamun dengan jenis Stomopneustus sp., jenis Echinometra sp. A, jenis Echinometra sp. B, dan jenis Echinometra sp. C pada ekosistem karang dengan kelimpahan sebesar 329 ind/50m 2 dan jenis Stomopneustus sp. dan jenis Echinometra sp. A. Pada ekosistem lamun dengan kelimpahan sebesar 34 ind/50m 2 . Terdapat perbedaan kelimpahan jumlah bulu babi pada ekosistem karang dan ekosistem padang lamun. This study was conducted to determine the condition of coral and seagrass ecosystems in Sundak coastal waters, to determine the abundance of sea urchins on coral and seagrass ecosystems in Sundak Beach, and to determine the relationship of the abundance of sea urchins between the characteristic of habitats on coral and seagrass in Sundak beach. The method used is descriptive survey method. The sampling method used in this research is determining the location of sampling, coral cover data retrieval, data retrieval abundance of sea urchins. Measurement of chemical and physical parameters such as flow, temperature, salinity, pH, depth, brightness, and organic matter. Data analysis was includes coral cover, the density of seagrass, the abundance of sea urchin, diversity index, and uniformity index. Closure of bottom substrate on coral ecosystems in the coastal environment in Sundak beach dominated by dead coral with a percentage of 62.2%, 24.25% rubble, and 13.5% sand.
