EFEKTIVITAS EDUKASI GIZI BERBASIS SEKOLAH DALAM MANAJEMEN OBESITAS REMAJA DI INDONESIA: LITERATURE REVIEW

ABSTRAK

Latar belakang: Obesitas remaja merupakan satu masalah gizi yang meningkat pesat dan telah menjadi masalah kesehatan utama. Prevalensi obesitas remaja di Indonesia pada usia 13-15 tahun sebesar 16,0% dan pada usia 16-18 tahun sebesar 13,5%.

Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui efektifitas dan mengevaluasi efek maupun perubahan yang didapat dari edukasi gizi berbasis sekolah pada remaja dalam pencegahan dan manajemen obesitas di Indonesia.

Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan literature review dengan metode naratif dengan mengkaji 3 artikel berdasarkan tujuan, metode dan hasil yang disajikan pada artikel. Pencarian artikel dilakukan dengan menggunakan artikel nasional dan internasional yang ditelusuri dengan database Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, SAGE Journals, dan ProQuest.

Hasil: Hasil kajian menyatakan bahwa edukasi gizi dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan terkait gizi, latihan fisik dan pengaturan makan. Selain itu edukasi gizi berbasis sekolah juga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran, sikap, self-efficacy, dan norma subjektif.

Simpulan: Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa program edukasi gizi berbasis sekolah dapat efektif untuk dilaksanakan. Perlu dilakukan intervensi edukasi gizi berbasis sekolah dengan periode waktu yang lebih lama dan evaluasi tindak untuk mengamati pengaruh pada perubahan perilaku.
