GAMBARAN LAMA PENGOBATAN TUBERKULOSIS PARU PADA PASIEN TUBERKULOSIS DENGAN DIABETES MELLITUS DI TIGA PUSKESMAS KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract

The prevalence of TB cases in TB with DM patients who have undergone longer TB treatment increases in the world. This research aims to dictated the characterisitics of TB with DM patients related to the duration of tuberculosis treatment in TB with DM patients in some health centers of Semarang. Analytical observational research uses cross sectional design studies. Sampling using simple random sampling techniques with a large formula of the analytic sample of categorics is not paired. Sample of 75 respondents in the working area of Puskesmas Bandarharjo, Puskesmas Tlogosari Kulon and Puskesmas Pegandan. Data collection using observation methods and interviews. Quantitative data analysis in the form of univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of this study showed that the prevalence of TB with DM patients has undergone > 6 months treatment as much as 82.6%. Respondents with a treatment of TB > 6 months of male sex (62.9%), are in the age category of 15-50 years (51.61%), working (72.58%), normal nutritional status (80.65%), the status of control of blood sugar is not controlled (70.97%), the level of knowledge is good enough (54.84%), obedient medication (82.26%), not routine exercise and physical activity (69.35%), and feel the role of supervision taking drugs (50%). Education on TB with DM and the compliance of drug medication is assessed as important to support the effectiveness of TB treatment.
