The independent variable in this study was monitoring high protein food intake with media food diary. The dependent variable is the anthropometric and dietary indicators of stunting toddlers. The minimum research subjects were 56 stunted toddlers aged 12-59 months. Food intake monitoring was carried out for 1 month using media food diary. Data analysis uses the Wilcoxon test if the data is not normally distributed, and uses the paired t test if the data is normally distributed. Results: There was a significant difference (p<0.05) between nutritional status based on z score for height for age (TB/U), body weight and height before and after monitoring. There was no significant difference (p>0.05) in energy, protein, fat and carbohydrate intake before and after intervention. Conclusion: The use of nutrition education methods in the form of food diary In the long term, assessing food consumption is less effective due to the time-consuming filling factor and the accuracy of filling. ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Salah satu faktor risiko stunting adalah asupan protein yang berperan sebagai reseptor yang dapat mempengaruhi fungsi DNA sehingga merangsang atau mengendalikan proses pertumbuhan. Usaha perbaikan pengetahuan dan sikap dilakukan melalui pendidikan kesehatan salah satunya menggunakan food diary sebagai media pemantauan asupan tinggi protein dalam konsumsi makanan harian balita stunting. Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemantauan asupan makanan tinggi protein menggunakan food diary terhadap peningkatan indikator antropometri dan dietary balita stunting usia 12-59 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tawang. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan pre and post desain. Pengambilan sampel dengan metode total sampling. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pemantauan asupan makan tinggi protein dengan media food diary. Variabel terikat dalam penelitian ini adalah indikator antropometri (BB, TB) dan dietary balita stunting. Subjek penelitian minimal sebanyak 56 balita stunting 12-59 bulan.
