Abstract

This article discusses the development of Donorojo Leprosy Rehabilitation Unit as part of Kelet Regional Hospital in rehabilitated leprosy patients in Donorojo, Jepara. This article written by using historical method. Built in 1916, Donorojo Leprosy Rehabilitation Unit has undergone many things. The results of this study shows the province of Central Java ranked third in regards to the number leprosy patients in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Central Java only has one referral hospital for leprosy patients, the Donorojo Leprosy Rehabilitation Unit. Under the management of the Central Java Provincial Government, the Donorojo Leprosy Rehabilitation Unit strives to maximize the management and services provided to leprosy patients. In its development, the Donorojo Leprosy Rehabilitation Unit was later accredited as a Type C Hospital.
