Untuk itu dilakukan pengumpulan informasi terhadap ide, kepercayaan dan persepsi masyarakat. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuisioner yang ditujukan kepada pengunjung, masyarakat lokal dan pengelola ekowisata. Pertanyaan yang diberikan adalah tentang persepsi, partisipasi, daya tarik wisata dan pengembangan wisata. Data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan SWOT. Potensi wisata yang ada pada ekowisata mangrove Wonorejo adalah keanekaragaman mangrove dan burung yang berasosiasi di dalamnya serta keindahan alam di kawasan ekowisata mangrove Wonorejo. Konsep strategi pengembangan ekowisata mangrove adalah mengembangkan konservasi dan rehabilitasi mangrove sebagai salah satu program wisata, meningkatkan partisipasi dan pemberdayaan masyarakat wisata, mempertegas penegakan hukum dan aturan untuk menjaga fungsi ekosistem mangrove dan penguatan konsep ecotourism di kawsan ekowisata mangrove Wonorejo, Kecamatan Rungkut Surabaya. Ecotourism in mangrove forests in the Surabaya began to grow. So this development does not damage the environment and resources in the mangrove forest needed the right development strategy. Based on this , The aims of this research were to kn ew the existing tourism potential and found the right strategy for the development of mangroves ecotourism Wonorejo, Kecamatan Rungkut Surabaya. So collecting information on the ideas, beliefs and perceptions. Data were collected by questionnaire addressed to visitors, local communities and organizer of mangroves ecotourism Wonorejo . The questions are about perception, participation, tourist attraction and tourism development. Then d ata were analyzed by SWOT. Tourism potentials in mangrove ecotourism Wonorejo were the diversity of mangrove and bird and the natural beauty of the mangrove ecotourism.
