Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen skala laboratorium dengan menggunakan wadah percobaan berupa akuarium bervolume 10 l yang diisi dengan limbah dengan konsentrasi 12,5% sebanyak 10 l. Variabel utama penelitian adalah kandungan bahan organik pada media percobaan yang didukung dengan berat basah tanaman, total bakteri serta kualitas air (suhu, cahaya, BOD, COD, DO dan pH,). Rancangan percobaan adalah RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan berupa penutupan Pistia sp. dengan konsentrasi 25%, 50%, 75% dan 100%. Data bahan organik dan total bakteri dianalisis dengan analisis Regresi dan Korelasi dengan taraf signifikan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya hubungan antara luas penutupan Pistia sp. dan bakteri terhadap penurunan kandungan bahan organik dengan penutupan yang baik adalah 25%, 50% dan 75%. Wastewater in fishery industry occurs because of washing water, equipment cleaning, melted ice from production room, and so on. Wastewater consists of organic materials, which potentially cause negative effect toward the environment. Bioremediation is the development of environmental biotechnology by utilizing biological process in controlling pollution. The purpose of the research is to find correlation between Pistia sp, and bacteria as bioremediator, and the reduction of organic materials from fishery waste. The method used in this research was laboratory scale experiments using a container which form a 10 l aquarium filled with 10 l of wastewater with 12,5% of concentration. The independent variable of the study was the content of organic material in the experiment media and the support variable were the wet weight of plants, total bacteria as well as the water quality (temperature, light, BOD, COD, DO, pH, and total bacteria). The design of experiment used in this research was Completely Randomized Design consist of 4 treatments and 3 times of repetition. The treatments were a closure of Pistia sp. with a concentration of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. Data of organic material and total bacteri was analyzed using Regression and Correlation analysis with a significant level of 95%.
