Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis permasalahan yang terjadi pada warehouse freezone PT Bimaruna, Jakarta yang melihat adanya penurunan produktivitas, kinerja, dan proses unloading yang disebabkan beberapa faktor internal dan eksternal. Setelah dilakuan wawancara dan penelitian, ditemukan beberapa permasalahan seperti belum adanya aturan terkait kebersihan, keamanan, peminjaman barang, penyusunan pallet, layout yang masih belum sesuai, dan lainnya. Peneliti menggunakan metode 5S (Seiri, Seiton Seiso Seiketsu Shitsuke) dan didapatkan skor dari form 5S yang diisi oleh Manager Warehouse masih dibawah standar (64 dari 80). Dari skor tersebut menjadi perhatian khusus untuk dilakukan pemecahan permasalahan dengan rekomendasi perbaikan yang diberikan. Dilanjutkan dengan penggunaan metode Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) yang digunakan untuk melakukan perbaikan layout warehouse berdasarkan hubungan antar departemen. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperoleh analisis penilaian dan skor hasil audit 5S pada gedung warehouse freezone PT Bimaruna Jaya, menemukan permasalahn yang mempengahruhi kinerja kegiatan di gedung warehouse freezone, dan mendapatkan rekomendasi perbaikan dari permasalahan yang telah ditemukan sebelumnya.

Abstract

[Analysis and recommendation for improvement with 5S method approach in warehouse freezone PT Bimaruna Jaya] This research aims to identify and analyze problems that occur at PT Bimaruna's warehouse free zone, Jakarta, which sees a decrease in productivity, performance and the unloading process caused by several internal and external factors. After conducting interviews and research, several problems were found, such as the absence of regulations regarding cleanliness, security, borrowing goods, arranging pallets, inappropriate layouts, and others. Researchers used the 5S method (Seiri, Seiton Seiso Seiketsu Shitsuke) and found that the score from the 5S form filled out by the Warehouse Manager was still below standard (64 out of 80). From this score, special attention is given to problem solving with recommendations for improvement provided. Followed by the use of the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) method which is used to make improvements to the warehouse layout based on relationships between departments. It is hoped that the results of this research will be able to obtain an assessment analysis and score of the 5S audit results in the PT Bimaruna Jaya warehouse freezone building, find problems that affect the performance of activities in the freezone warehouse building, and obtain recommendations for improvements to problems that have been discovered previously.
