For basic facilities, Port of Cirebon equipped shipping lanes, wave barriers, technological navigation , docks, and ponds. It also became a buffer area that produce export commodities, such as vegetables, fruits, cement, and rattan. The expansion of shipping network ha d increased import-export volume to several regions in Southeast Asia. However, due to the sedimentation and location in the shallow water, it made difficult for large ships to dock. This situation became a major factor to detain economic activities at the Port of Cirebon.
