DUKUNGAN GURU DAN EFIKASI DIRI AKADEMIK PADA SISWA SMA SEMESTA SEMARANG

Siswa yang bersekolah di SMA Semesta Semarang memiliki tuntutan yang tinggi. Hal tersebut dikarenakan siswa tinggal terpisah dengan orang tua, menghadapi pembelajaran menggunakan dwibahasa, serta kurikulum nasional yang dipadukan kurikulum berorientasi internasional. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi siswa untuk memiliki efikasi diri akademik yang tinggi. Efikasi diri akademik adalah keyakinan diri individu akan kemampuannya untuk melakukan tugas-tugas akademik pada level tertentu. Guru menjadi salah satu elemen sekolah yang dekat dengan siswa yang tinggal di asrama. Dukungan guru adalah bantuan berupa empati, penghargaan, perhatian, kepedulian, pengarahan, bimbingan dan pengajaran secara langsung dari guru yang dirasakan oleh siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan guru dengan efikasi diri akademik siswa SMA Semesta Semarang. Karakteristik populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Semesta Semarang, tinggal di asrama, dan WNI. Populasi berjumlah  335 siswa dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 175 siswa yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan Skala Dukungan Guru (23 aitem valid; α=.899) dan Skala Efikasi Diri Akademik (45 aitem valid; α=.952) yang telah diujicobakan kepada 42 siswa. Hasil uji analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan koefisisen korelasi yang positif, yaitu sebesar rxy=.414 dengan p = .000 (p < .01). Semakin besar dukungan guru yang dirasakan siswa, maka semakin tinggi efikasi diri akademik siswa. Dukungan guru memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 17.2 % terhadap efikasi diri akademik siswa, sedangkan 82.8% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diukur dalam penelitian ini.
