RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) atau Identifikasi Frekuensi Radio adalah sebuah metode identifikasi dengan menggunakan sarana yang disebut label RFID atau transponder untuk menyimpan dan mengambil data jarak jauh. Label atau kartu RFID adalah sebuah benda yang bisa dipasang atau dimasukkan di dalam sebuah produk, hewan atau bahkan manusia dengan tujuan untuk identifikasi menggunakan gelombang radio. Label RFID berisi informasi yang disimpan secara elektronik dan dapat dibaca hingga beberapa meter jauhnya. Sistem pembaca RFID tidak memerlukan kontak langsung seperti sistem pembaca tag (barcode). Label RFID terdiri atas mikrochip silikon dan antena. Perancangan dan Aplikasi Sistem Informasi di AKPOL Semarang ini berbasis RFID, dan dilengkapi dengan metode Xpress Ticketing dengan cara ini dapat meminimalisir resiko double user, kecurangan saat proses absensi, memiliki graphical user interface yang mendukung monitor touch screen berbasis Windows XP/7 Themes yang atraktif, mudah dioperasikan, dapat dijadikan laporan pendataan tamu yang masuk atau keluar dari area AKPOL secara jelas dan terperinci.Dalam pembuatan aplikasi ini, menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Delphi untuk user interfacenya dan menggunakan Firebird dan IBexpert untuk database. Hasil dari perancangan sistem informasi berbasi RFID ini terbukti dapat mempermudah proses keamanan gate dan dapat di aplikasikan di kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

Radio Frequency Identification is a method of identification by means of the so-called RFID tags or transponders to store and retrieve data remotely . Labels or RFID card is an object that can be attached or included in a product , animal , or even human beings with the purpose of identification using radio waves . RFID labels contain information that is stored electronically and can be up to several feet away . RFID reader system does not require direct contact such as bar code reader system ( barcode ) . RFID tags consist of a silicon microchip and an antenna . Some RFID tags can approach the size of the small size of rice grains . Labels are passive not require a power source , whereas active labels require a power source to function . Design and Application of Information Systems in the Police Academy in Semarang -based RFID , and comes with Xpress Ticketing method in this way can minimize the risk of cheating when do absention, has a graphical user interface that supports touch screen monitors running Windows XP / 7 Themes are attractive , easy to operate , can be used report a data collection or members in or out of the area in a clear and detailed Police Academy In making this application , using the Delphi programming language for the user interface and used Firebird and IBexpert for the database . The results of the design of the information system development based on RFID security gate can simplify the process and can be applied in real life .
