Currently, many construction project planning tasks are still performed using conventional software, which is less efficient and prone to errors. The integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in construction project planning represents a significant innovation, offering a solution to reduce misinterpretations that could lead to issues during the construction process. This study aims to redesign the Computer Engineering Laboratory Building at the Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University, using BIM-based planning methods to enhance quality, cost efficiency, and time management. A quantitative descriptive method is applied, starting with an understanding of design fundamentals and data collection through a literature review. Structural design calculations and analyses are conducted using CSI SAP2000, which is also used for modeling loading conditions. Three-dimensional modeling and scheduling is performed using Tekla Structure, followed by cost estimation using Microsoft Excel. This redesign results in an earthquake-resistant structural system utilizing the Special Moment Resisting Frame (SMRF) system. By integrating BIM, building design and planning are expected to become more efficient, reliable, and durable. }, issn = {2988-5973}, pages = {106--118} doi = {10.14710/pilars.3.2.2025.106-118}, url = {https://ejournal3.undip.ac.id/index.php/pilars/article/view/49625} }
