Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode simple random sampling atau acak sederhana. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Hasil tangkapan ikan Tongkol diambil pada bulan Desember sebesar 30% dan Januari sebesar 100% dari total hasil tangkapan. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada ikan Tongkol sebanyak 393 ekor, pertumbuhan ikan Tongkol bersifat allometrik negatif dengan nilai b sebesar 2,839. Faktor kondisi yang diperoleh sebesar 1,268 yang tergolong dalam ikan pipih atau tidak gemuk. Nilai Lc 50% (307 mm) < Lm 50% (413 mm) , hal ini diduga ikan yang tertangkap sebagian belum matang gonad, sehingga tidak memberikan kesempatan ikan untuk memijah pertama kali. Tingkat Kematangan Gonad ikan Tongkol menurut Cassie didominasi oleh TKG I dan II yaitu fase belum matang. Nilai indeks kematangan gonad ikan Tongkol berkisar 0,088% - 2,158%. Fekunditas terendah ikan Tongkol sebesar 376.436 butir dengan panjang cagak 405 mm dan berat tubuh 1050 gram, sedangkan nilai tertinggi sebesar 664.582 butir dengan panjang cagak 440 mm dan berat tubuh 1245 gram. CPUE ikan Tongkol selama penelitian mengalami fluktuasi, nilai tertinggi CPUE terjadi pada tanggal 8 Desember 2015 sebesar 155,667 kg/Trip dan CPUE terendah pada tanggal 27 Januari 2015 sebesar 2,833 kg/ Trip. Kendal is one area which is on the north coast of Java Sea. The biggest fish auction place in Kendal Regency is Tawang Fish Auction (TPI Tawang). Eastern Little Tuna generally exploited by seine net. The Eastern Little Tuna species that is more dominant to be caught is Euthynnus affinis. The purpose of this study is to find out the biological aspect and the daily production of Eastern Little Tuna caught by seine net on TPI Tawang, Kendal. This research started from December 2014 until January 2015. The method used in this research is survey method. The sampling was taken by using simple random sampling. The data that are being used are primary and secondary data. The fish caught in December is 30% while in January is 100% from the total haul. From the research on 393 fish, it can be seen that the growth of Tuna is negative allometric with B value of 2.839. The condition factor of 1.268 are flat fish. LC 50 % ( 307 mm ) < Lm 50 % ( 413 mm ) , it is suspected the fish is caught mostly immature gonads , so it does not give the fish a chance to spawn the first time The Gonad maturity level of Eastern Little Tuna based on Cassie is dominated by Gonad maturity level I and II, which are immature phase. The value of Gonad maturity level is about 0,088% - 2,158%. The lowest fecundity was 376.436 eggs with the fork length was 405 mm and body weight was 1050 grams while The highest fecundity is 664.582 eggs with fork length was 440 mm and weight was 1245 grams.
