Penelitian dilakukan di ekosistem terumbu karang Nyamplungan, Batu Topeng dan Tanjung Gelam dengan masing-masing stasiun terdapat dua titik dengan kedalaman berbeda, yaitu kedalaman 1 dan 2 di Pulau Karimunjawa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah densitas zooxanthellae dan hue pada stasiun 1 kedalaman satu 5,07.10 6 sel/cm 2 dan 45,3 0 , kedalaman dua 4,41.10 6 sel/cm 2 dan 45,7 0 . Pada stasiun 2 kedalaman satu sebanyak 5,72.10 6 sel/cm 2 dan 35,5 0 , kedalaman dua sebanyak 4,02.10 6 sel/cm 2 dan 36,4 0 . Pada stasiun 3 kedalaman satu sebanyak 12,78.10 6 sel/cm 2 dan 35,8 0 , kedalaman dua sebanyak 7,66. 10 6 sel/cm 2 dan 42,9 0 . Perbedaan nilai densitas zooxanthellae dan hue dikarenakan adanya faktor cahaya, jenis karang dan kondisi lingkungan. Densitas zooxanthellae dengan nilai hue pada stasiun 1, 2 dan 3 kedalaman 1 m dan 2 m mempunyai nilai korelasi yang tidak signifikan dimana tidak terdapat hubungan yang nyata, nilai hue mempunyai kecenderungan menurun dengan meningkatnya densitas zooxanthellae. The value of hu e, especially on the type of Acropora sp. that dominated the area of coral reefs. The purpose s of this study are to determine the value of h ue and zooxanthellae density at different depths , knowing the value of hue and density of zooxanthellae in the different stations and know the relationship between the value of h ue with zooxanthellae density on Acropora sp. The method used in this research is descriptive method.
