Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah secara acak ( random sampling ) yaitu pengambilan sampel secara sistematik pada suatu populasi yang homogen. Variabel yang diukur dalam penelitian meliputi panjang mantel cumi-cumi, berat total cumi-cumi, berat gonad, tingkat kematangan gonad, indeks kematangan gonad, faktor kondisi dan fekunditas. Hubungan panjang berat Photololigo chinensis selama penelitian bersifat Allometrik . Angka b pada empat kali sampling < 3 maka bersifat allometrik negatif dengan nilai faktor kondisi (Kn) 1,02 menunjukkan bentuk bersifat kurus. Tingkat kematangan gonad P. chinensis jantan pada hasil keseluruhan sampling didominasi oleh TKG I dan III dan TKG P. chinensis betina pada hasil keseluruhan sampling didominasi oleh TKG I dan IV. P. chinensis memiliki fekunditas yang cukup besar karena jumlah telurnya berkisar butir 10.010-20.365. The entire production ot the squids in Indonesian until now is derived from catching on seas. Therefore the production of squids must be considered kept as such not to stock on nature, so stock squids on nature stay awake. Research about lenght-weight relationship, condition factor, visual maturity stages, gonadosomatic index and fecundity hopely can be done stock from that resources. Methods of sampling what used in this research is random sampling, this systematically sampling on one homogeny populate. Variable measured in research such as lenght-weight relationship, condition factor, maturity stages, gonadosomatic index, and fecundity. Lenght-weight relationship during research.
