Penelitian berlangsung pada bulan November-Desember 2013 di perairan pantai Jepara (Teluk Awur dan Pulau Panjang). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Sampling biota, residu nitrat dan ortofosfat menggunakan metode Saito dan Adobe. Sampel diambil pada lokasi yang berbeda, Teluk Awur dan Pulau Panjang. Masing-masing lokasi ditentukan 2 titik dan di setiap titik dilakukan 3 kali pengulangan. Sampel lamun diambil dengan menggunakan frame kuadran transek berukuran 1 x 1 meter yang didalamnya dibagi kembali menjadi 25 x 50 cm sub kuadran dan setiap pengambilan sampel berjarak 1 meter. Hasil penelitian pada kedua lokasi didapatkan 4 spesies lamun yaitu Enhalus acoroides , Thalassia hemprichii , Syringodium isoetifolium dan Halodule uninervis . Jenis fitoperifiton yang paling banyak ditemukan di kedua lokasi berasal dari kelas Bacillariophyceae. Rata-rata kelimpahan fitoperifiton di Pulau panjang sebesar 49388.82 indvidu/ cm 2 sedangkan di Teluk Awur sebesar 32684.56 individu/cm 2 . Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji regresi dinyatakan bahwa konsentrasi nitrat dan ortofosfat di Teluk Awur tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelimpahan fitoperifiton sedangkan di Pulau Panjang nitrat berpengaruh terhadap kelimpahan fitoperifiton tetapi tidak pada ortofosfat. Seagrass bed is a shelter, feeding and spawning grounds to various biota such as phytoperiphyton. Phytoperiphyton take an important role on the primary production in the water. This study aimed to determine differences between phytoperiphyton abundance, nitrate and orthophosphate residues in the leaves of Enhalus acoroides and also to know the influence of nitrate and orthophosphate concentrations on abundance of phytoperiphyton found in the leaves of Enhalus acoroides . This research was carried out in November-December 2013 at Jepara coastal waters (Teluk Awur and Pulau Panjang). Method used in this research was descriptive. Sampling of biota, nitrate and orthophosphate residues used of Saito and Adobe methods. Samples were taken from two different locations, Teluk Awur and Pulau Panjang. every single station divided into 2 sub stations and there were 3 repetitions on each sub station. Seagrass sample taken using 1 x 1 meter quadrant transect in which divided into 25 x 50 cm sub quadrant sampling within 1 meter. The results at two locations showed 4 seagrass species among others Enhalus acoroides , Thalassia hemprichii , Syringodium and Halodule isoetifolium uninervis . The most phytoperiphyton commonly found in both locations is from the class of Bacillariophyceae. Mean abundance of phytoperiphyton in Pulau Panjang 49388.82 indvidu/ cm 2 while in Teluk Awur 32684.56 individu/cm 2 .
