Abstract
Every year, the number of child trafficking in Indonesia continue to rise. Many of the
children trapped in this circle of crime. With various motive, they enter the world of
prostitution. To deal with that issue, Indonesian government cooperate with ECPAT as an
organization that aims to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children and child
trafficking since 2009 and continue to seek strategies and implementation to fight child
trafficking in and any form of commercial sexual implementation in Indonesia. This
research is made to know the condition of child trafficking in Indonesia, role of Indonesian
Government and their cooperation with ECPAT in dealing child trafficking in Indonesia
and also to analyze their success using some indicator such as mutuality of interest and the
shadow of the future. The result obtained are cooperation between Indonesian Government
and ECPAT in Indonesia is not successful because there is a different response between
both actors and then having not enough feedback also being a causative factor of how
unsuccessful cooperation between Indonesian Government and ECPAT in dealing with
child trafficking in Indonesia.
