Journal Article Writing Standards

When writing articles, avoid using bullet points, indentation, or numbering like this:

  1. ....
  2. ....

but it is better written as follows: (1) ..., (2) ....

  • The article is written in essay form, so there is no numerical (or alphabetical) format separating chapters/sections, or to mark new chapters/sections.
  • If there are tables and figures/graphs, they must be referenced in the discussion.
  • The conclusion is not detailed in bullet points, but in paragraphs.
  • Use running notes, not footnotes or endnotes.
  • Citation and reference list formatting must be consistent.

  •  Please consult your journal with the Examining Lecturer.

  • The editorial team reserves the right to edit articles without altering the substance and main ideas of the author.

  • Try not to submit your work too close to the deadline set by the Faculty.
