PENGARUH PADAT TEBAR TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN KELULUSHIDUPAN IKAN BANDENG (Chanos chanos) DI KERAMBA JARING APUNG DI PERAIRAN TERABRASI DESA KALIWLINGI KABUPATEN BREBES

Abstract


Peningkatan padat penebaran merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan produksi ikan bandeng (C. chanos).  Namun, hal tersebut berpotensi membawa dampak negatif, seperti penurunan kualitas air. Berbagai penerapan sistem budidaya dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produksi dalam kegiatan budidaya salah satunya memperhatikan padat penebaran yang digunakan dalam budidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh padat tebar berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan ikan bandeng dan mengetahui padat tebar berbeda yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan tertinggi  ikan bandeng.  Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diujikan adalah padat tebar berbeda dalam pemeliharaan dengan menggunakan keramba jaring apung yaitu perlakuan A (10 ekor/m2),B (20 ekor/m2), dan C (30 ekor/m2). Ikan uji yang digunakan yaitu, ikan bandeng (C. chanos) dengan rerata bobot individu 2,02 ± 0,21 g. Ikan bandeng dipelihara dalam keramba jaring apung (5x3x1) m3 selama 75 hari. Data yang diamati meliputi laju pertumbuhan spesifik, kelulushidupan, kualitas air, dan kelimpahan plankton. Pengukuran kualitas air meliputi suhu, oksigen terlarut, salinitas, arus dan pH yang dilakukan pada awal dan akhir penelitian. Berdasarkan pada uji ANOVA menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap nilai laju pertumbuhan spesifik, dan kelulushidupan. Perlakuan A memberikan pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan terbaik dibandingkan perlakuan yang lain, dengan pertumbuhan laju pertumbuhan spesifik (2,63±0,24 %/hari), dan kelulushidupan (84,66 ± 3,28 %). Secara umum, suhu, oksigen terlarut, salinitas, arus dan pH selama penelitian berada pada kisaran yang layak untuk kehidupan ikan bandeng.

 

Increased stocking density was one way to increase the production of milkfish (C. chanos). However, it was could potentially have negative impacts, such as the degradation of water quality. Various application of the cultivation system was conducted to improve the production quality in farming activities, one of them stocking density used in the cultivation. This research was aimed to determine the effect of different stocking density on growth and survival of milkfish and determine the stocking density which gives the highest growth and survival of milkfish. This research using a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 3 replication. The treatments were different stocking density in maintenance by using floating net cages that treatment A (10 fish/m2), B (20 fish/m2), and C (30 fish/m2). The fish samples using milkfish (C. Chanos) with an individual average weight of 2.02 ± 0.21 g and long 5.86 ± 0.51 cm. Fish reared in floating net cages (5x3x1) m3 for 75 days. Data observed specific growth rate, survival rate, water quality, and the abundance of plankton. Measurements of water quality include temperature, dissolved oxygen, salinity, currents and pH were performed at the beginning and end of the research. Based on the ANOVA showed a highly significant effect (P <0.01) to the value of absolute weight, relative growth rate, specific growth rate, and survival. Treatment A gives the best growth and survival rate compared to other treatments, with specific growth rate (2,63 ± 0, 24 %/day), and survival rate (84,66 ± 3,28 %). In general, temperature, dissolved oxygen, salinity, currents and pH during the research were still in the reasonable range for fish life.
