PERHITUNGAN DAN ANALISIS NILAI OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS PADA MESIN PENGISIAN KAPSUL PT. X

Abstract

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) akan berjalan dengan efektif apabila terdapat data performansi peralatan yang akurat. Apabila kegagalan peralatan dan alasan kerugian dalam produksi tidak dipahami, maka TPM tidak dapat dijalankan secara optimal untuk mengatasi masalah besar atau menditeksi bila terjadi penurunan kinerja. Kerugian produksi yang terdiri dari biaya tidak langsung dan biaya tersembunyi merupakan bagian dari total biaya produksi. Dengan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) maka dapat mengungkapkan biaya tersembunyi tersebut.

PT. X merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pharmasi, yaitu memproduksi obat jenis kapsul, tablet, sirup, dan sirup kering. Penelitian ini mengukur nilai OEE pada mesin pengisian kapsul selama bulan Mei, Juni dan Juli tahun 2013 dan menganalisis nilai tersebut, serta menemukan akar penyebab menggunakan diagram sebab akibat. Nilai OEE yang diperoleh secara berturut-turut dalam tiga bulan adalah 59,79%, 56,61%, dan 53,10% yang jauh dibawah standar, standar OEE > 84%. Faktor penyebab rendahnya nilai OEE adalah idling and minor stoppages dengan nilai 21,18%, 18,88%, dan 17,69%.Usulan perbaikan yang disarankan adalah menambah SDM pengawas, memperpanjang waktu kontrak kerja, menambah SDM maintenance, mendatangkan ahli penataan tempat kerja, dan menambah mesin pencampuran.

ABSTRACT

Accurate equipment performance data is essential to the success and long-term effectiveness of TPM activities. If the extent of equipment failures and reasons for production losses are not entirely understood, then any TPM actions cannot be deployed optimally to solve major problems or arrest deteriorating performance. Production losses, together with other indirect and hidden costs, constitute the majority of the total production costs. Therefore, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) can be used to reveal these hidden costs.

PT. X is a pharmaceutical company that produces capsules, tablets, syrups, and dry syrups. The aim of this study are to measure OEE value of capsule filling machine during May, June, and July 2013 and analyze those value than find the reasons by cause effect diagram. OEE value is obtained successively in three months is 59,79%, 56,61%, and 53,10% which is far below standard, OEE > 84%. The main reason is idling and minor stoppages, the values is 21,18%, 18,88%, and 17,69%. Suggested improvement are increase supervisor human resource, extend the employment contract, adding maintenance human resource, bring in expert arrangement of work place, and add more mixing machine.
