Abstract

This research examines potential hazards in solar panel installation projects using the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRADC) method. This method aims to identify, assess, and control risks that may arise during the solar panel installation process. Solar panel installation projects are generally carried out at heights and in close proximity to electricity, potentially posing various high risks such as falls and electric shocks. Data were collected through direct observation and interviews with workers, then analysed using likelihood and severity scales to determine the level of risk. The results showed that the main risks in this project include physical injury due to falling from height, electric shock during the interconnection process, and health problems due to poor work posture and exposure to hazardous materials. Recommendations to control the risks are given based on the risk control hierarchy to ensure optimal occupational safety and health at the solar panel installation project site.
