Abstract

[Title: WORK POSTURE ANALYSIS AND ERGONOMIC RISK ASSESSMENT USING RAPID OFFICE STRAIN ASSESSMENT (ROSA) AND CORNELL MUSCULOSKELETAL DISCOMFORT QUESTIONNAIRES (CMDQ) ON EMPLOYEES OF THE OPERATIONAL DIVISION OF CB&H REINSURANCE BROKER] Office ergonomics involves the application of ergonomic principles in all aspects of the office environment and equipment, such as computers and chairs. Common risks in the office are often caused by poor sitting posture, repetitive movements, and maintaining a static body position for extended periods, which can lead to Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). This study aims to evaluate the work posture of administrative staff and operational division personnel of CB&H Reinsurance Brokers to identify potential workplace posture hazards that may increase the risk of MSDs. The research method involves using the Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaires (CMDQ) as an initial screening tool and Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) as an instrument to evaluate office ergonomics. The results of CMDQ indicate the highest complaints primarily concentrated on the hips, right thigh, and left thigh. Meanwhile, the ROSA recapitulation results show that operational division workers face high risks associated with their work posture, with scores of 6, 6, 6, 7, and 7 respectively. Based on the CMDQ and ROSA findings, recommendations for improvement include facility replacement and proposed changes in work posture to reduce the risk of injury..
