PERANCANGAN TATA LETAK BARANG KONSUMSI PADA WAREHOUSE PT WIJAYA KARYA MENGGUNAKAN METODE ABC ANALYSIS

Kegiatan MMH (Manual material handling) merupakan aktivitas yang berhubungan dalam pemindahan barang yang
dilakukan secara manual tanpa penggunaan mesin. Aktivitas MMH (Manual material handling) yang baik harus
memperhatikan tingkat efisiensi yang optimal. PT Wijaya Karya Industri & Konstruksi merupakan perusahaan yang
bergerak dalam berbagai bidang industri perencanaan, proses produksi dan pelaksanaan proyek konstruksi.
Perusahaan mengalami permasalahan pada bagian warehouse, dimana perlu dilakukan penataan ulang karena pada
rak consumable masih belum optimal akibat belum diurutkan sesuai dengan frekuensi penggunaannya. Sehingga
pergerakan barang yang ada di warehouse masih belum efisiensi gerak dan jarak. Sebanyak 79,8% barang yang
termasuk fast moving masih diletakkan berjauhan dari pintu keluar masuk gudang, kemudian sebanyak 15,2% barang
medium moving dan 5,2% barang slow moving diletakkan dekat dengan pintu keluar masuk gudang. Oleh karena itu,
perlu dilakukan redesign penataan tata letak material pada rak consumable perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini
adalah memberikan usulan perbaikan penataan tata letak barang (consumable material) yang optimal pada rak
gudang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ABC Analysis. Hasil penelitian mengelompokkan barang
consumable menjadi 3 kelas yaitu A (fast moving), B (medium moving), dan C (slow moving). Penelitian ini juga
mampu mereduksi jarak tempuh pekerja yaitu dengan jarak total tempuh yang awalnya sebesar 21560,091 meter
menjadi 14561,736 meter sehingga presentase penurunan jarak tempuh yaitu 32,46%. Dengan adanya reduksi jarak
tersebut, membuat para pekerja menjadi lebih produktif dalam melakukan aktivitasnya sehingga meminimalisir risiko
terkena gangguan otot MSDs (Musculoskeletal Disorders).

Abstract

MMH (Manual material handling) activities are activities related to moving goods manually without the use of
machines. Good MMH (Manual material handling) activities must pay attention to the optimal level of efficiency. PT
Wijaya Karya Industry & Construction is a company engaged in various industrial fields of planning, production
processes and implementation of construction projects. The company experienced a problem in the warehouse section,
where it needed to be rearranged because the consumable shelves were still not optimal because they had not been
sorted according to the frequency of use. So that the movement of goods in the warehouse is still not efficient in motion
and distance. As much as 79.8% of fast moving goods are still placed far from the entrance and exit of the warehouse,
then as much as 15.2% of medium moving goods and 5.2% of slow moving goods are placed close to the entrance and
exit of the warehouse. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the layout of the material on the company's consumable
shelves. The purpose of this study is to provide suggestions for improving the optimal consumable material layout on
warehouse shelves. The method used in this research is ABC Analysis. The results of the study grouped consumables
into 3 classes, namely A (fast moving), B (medium moving), and C (slow moving). This research was also able to
reduce workers' mileage, namely the total distance traveled which was initially 21560.091 meters to 14561.736 meters
so that the percentage decrease in mileage was 32.46%. With this reduction in distance, workers become more
productive in carrying out their activities thereby minimizing the risk of developing MSDs (Musculoskeletal
Disorders).
