Data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi secara langssung dan wawancara kepada operator pada Line 12 dan Staff PT XYZ. Hasil pengolahan data didapatkan penurunan waktu setup pergantian batch sebanyak 39,4 menit yaitu yang semulanya 74,1 menit menjadi 34,7 menit. To maintain employee work productivity, PT XYZ itself has a standard batch change setup time, maximum time is 45 minutes. But in fact there are several lines that exceed the standard time. The aim of this research is to minimize setup time so as not to exceed the standard. The method used is lean manufacturing approach, namely Single minute Exchanges of Dies method. Operator performance is also balanced so that time minimization can be maximized. The data in this study were conducted by interviews addressed to operators on Line 12 and PT XYZ staff. Apart from that, observations were also made on Line 12. The results of data processing showed that the batch change setup time decreased by 39.4 minutes, from 74.1 minutes to 34.7 minutes.
