Abstract

[Mental Workload Analysis Using NASA -TLX In The Engineering Section Of PDAM Tirta Perwitasari Purworejo Regency] PDAM Tirta Perwitasari is a company engaged in the treatment and distribution of clean water in Purworejo Regency. This company is required to achieve predetermined company goals or targets in order to be able to meet customer demand. This high demand requires workers to do their work as much as possible. Such high targets can burden workers, especially in the engineering department because every day they have to work hard to meet targets. Some workers in the engineering department complain that they are not comfortable at their jobs. Some of these workers' symptoms indicate workers are experiencing a mental workload. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on mental workload in the engineering department using the National Aeronautics and Space Administration – Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) with 6 indicators, namely Mental Demand, Physical Demand, Temporal Demand, Own Performance, Effort, and Frustation Level. The highest score of NASA-TLX was 88,667 and the lowest was 66. Then another result is known that the Effort aspect is the highest percentage among the 6 elements of NASA – TLX which is 24%. Furthermore, it was found that 15 employees had a heavy mental workload and 16 people had a moderate mental workload.
