ANALISIS OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS (OEE) PADA PAPER MAKING MACHINE DAN PENDEKATAN 5 WHYS UNTUK PERBAIKAN PADA PT. INDAH KIAT PULP & PAPER PERAWANG (Studi Kasus: PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Perawang)

PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper didirikan tahun 1976 adalah salah satu perusahaan yang kegiatan utamanya adalah memproduksi pulp & paper. Untuk memenuhi permintaan dari kliennya, PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper mengoperasikan mesin yang terus beroperasi secara kontinu 24 jam agar dapat memenuhi target yang telah di tetapkan dengan tingkat efektivitas yang tinggi. Walaupun demikian penggunaan mesin atau peralatan produksi juga memiliki kelemahan karena produktivitas dan efektivitas mesin atau peralatan produksi tergantung kondisi dan peralatan pendukungnya. Secara teori Paper Machine ditargetkan mampu menghasilkan output sebesar 1392 ton. Tetapi pada pelaksanaannya diketahui bahwa hasil output secara aktual tidak dapat mencapai target. Menurut data historis mesin, sering terjadi downtime seperti temperature down, vacum mesin trip, pressure down, speed down, power trip, consistency down,dll, sehingga mengakibatkan sheetbreak. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengamatan yang bertujuan menghitung tingkat availability, performance, dan quality dari paper machine, memperoleh nilai OEE dari paper machine, mengidentifikasi Six Big Losses pada paper machine dan mengajukan strategi-strategi pemecahan masalah yang terjadi.. Dari hasil penelitian dan pengolahan data didapatkan nilai dari OEE Digester sebesar 76,24%, yang mana nilai tersebut masih belum memenuhi standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh JIPM yaitu sebesar 85%. Faktor yang paling mempengaruhinya adalah reduce speed losses.

ABSTRACT

PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper founded in 1976 is one of the companies whose main activity is producing pulp. To meet the demands of its clients, PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper operates a machine that continues to operate continuously 24 hours in order to meet the targets that have been set with a high level of effectiveness. However, the use of machinery or production equipment also has disadvantages because the productivity and effectiveness of machinery or production equipment depends on the conditions and supporting equipment. In theory, paper machine is targeted to be able to produce an output of 1392 tons. But in its implementation it is known that the actual output cannot reach the target. According to the machine's historical data, frequent downtime such as temperature down, vacuum engine trip, pressure down, speed down, power trip, consistency down, etc., resulting in sheetbreak. In this research, observations will be carried out aimed at calculating the availability, performance and quality levels of paper machine, obtaining OEE values from paper machine, identifying Six Big Losses on paper machine and proposing problem solving strategies that occur. From the results of research and processing the data obtained from the OEE Digester amounted to 76.24%, of which the value still did not meet the standards set by JIPM which was equal to 85%. The most influencing factor is reducing speed losses.
