ANALISIS PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS MENGGUNAKAN METODE SIX SIGMA PADA PRODUK AMDK 240 ML PT. TIRTA INVESTAMA KLATEN

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia industri yang bergerak sangat pesat membuat persaingan antar perusahaan semakin meningkat, termasuk perusahaan industri Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (AMDK). Untuk mempertahankan kualitas dari produk yang dihasilkan, perusahaan perlu melakukan pengendalian kualitas agar sesuai dengan spesifikasi produk yang ditetapkan supaya dan mampu meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen. PT. Tirta Investama Klaten memproduksi produk AMDK kemasan 240 ml, 330 ml, 600 ml, 1500 ml, galon 19 liter, dan Mizone 500 ml. Dalam salah satu upaya peningkatan kualitas, PT. Tirta Investama Klaten berupaya untuk mencapai tingkat zero defect pada produksinya, termasuk pada kemasan 240 ml yang masih ditemukan banyak produk cacat. Analisis pengendalian kualitas dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode Six Sigma. Berdasarkan teori Six Sigma, hanya terdapat 3,4 cacat per sejuta kesempatan pada proses produksi. Semakin tinggi target sigma yang dicapai maka kinerja sistem industri semakin membaik. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi perusahaan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen dan kualitas produk dengan meminimalisir jumlah produk cacat.

[Quality Control Analysis Using Six Sigma Methods on Mineral Bottled Water 240 ml Products of PT. Tirta Investama Klaten] The rapid development of industrial word has made the competition among companies increased, including the bottled drinking water companies. To maintain the quality of the products produced, the company needs to conduct the quality control to achieve the conformance to specifications of products and be able to improve the customer satisfaction. PT. Tirta Investama Klaten produces bottled water in 240 ml, 330 ml, 600 ml, 1500 ml, 19 liters gallon and 500 ml of Mizone. In an effort to improve the quality, PT. Tirta Investama Klaten strives to achieve a zero defect production, including on 240 ml bottled water that still can be found many defective products. The quality control analysis in this research uses Six Sigma as the method. Based on the Six Sigma theory, there are only 3,4 deficiencies per million opportunities found in the production process. The higher the sigma target is achieved, the better the performance of the industrial system is. This research is hoped to be useful for the company to improve the customer satisfaction and the product quality by minimizing the number of defective products.
