Kriminalitas di Mranggen: Sebab dan Usaha Mengatasinya, 1997-2009

Abstract

This article discusses crime in Mranggen. Mranggen is a sub-district in Demak Regency which is located adjacent to Semarang City. Crime is one form of problem in social society that often occurs regardless of whether the city is large or suburban or even small. The background of the high crime rate in Mranggen and criminal acts begin with coercion to hand over belongings so that if the victim refuses, the perpetrator uses violence. Using the historical method, this study analyzes the factors that cause crime in Mranggen. The approach used is a sociological approach because it analyzes social deviations in Mranggen. The results of the study show that perpetrators of criminal acts come from various circles, from teenagers to adults who are heads of families. Crime is an alternative to meet the needs of life.
