Using the historical method, this article reveals up and down of Congrock 17 career in the music world. The result showed that Congrock 17 gait which started from the Stident Activity Unit (UKM) Universitas 17 August (Untag) Semarang by person named Marko Marnadi was not easy, starting from the absence of recognition from old keroncong activists to the ansence of Congrock of Congrock 17 in playing music, is a challenge they must face. Even so, Congrock 17 was able to continue to exist in introducing keroncong music to young people. The various titles of songs that are sung in four albums, as well as cover songs from other musicians are proof of this. Congrock 17 career is progressing and is widely known by the public with various gigs or concerts in Indonesia, recording studios, national television shows, dan performing abroad. The result also shor that Congrock 17 makes good use of advances in information technology as a medium for interacting with fans online. Be it through Facebook and Instagram social media accounts, to Youtube channels that contain various Congrock 17 songs and shows during concerts.
