Upaya Majalah Bobo dalam Pembentukan Karakter Bangsa bagi Anak-Anak, 1973-1998

Abstract

This study explains the efforts of Bobo Magazine in the formation of educational character for Indonesian children. Bobo Magazine was founded under the auspices of Kompas Gramedia, previously it was come from Tineke's who accidently saw Bobo Magazine for the first time at a bus stop in the Netherlands, to conducting negotiations for Bobo Magazine to be published in Indonesia as the first Indonesian color children's magazine. Bobo Magazine has played a role in shaping the character of Indonesian children through the rubric. Since the beginning, it has been presented stories that reveal Indonesian cultural identity. Using the historical method, this article analyzes the content of Bobo Magazine which has a motto, Friends to Play and Learn. It means that Bobo Magazine helps children to build their character through reading the magazine. Bobo Magazine always provides varied, innovative, and educational rubrics according to the demands of the time spirit.
