According to the IPSI’s efforts, many pencak silat training institutions were united and they developed international for athletes. During the establishment period, nationally, IPSI organized various National Championships to attract high-quality athletes. Meanwhile, internationally, IPSI succeeded to initiating the establishment of Organization of the International Pencak Silat Association (Persilat) together with the representatives from Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam. This association was reached various countries in the world, including the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, Australia, and so on. It shows that pencak silat has become a sport in which increasingly being enjoyed by public. This study also obtain a proof that the period of 1980s and 1990s became the golden age of IPSI as the leading pencak silat organization in Indonesia due to its active participation in invitations, festivals, and competitions, both national and international.
