ABSTRACT

Indonesia is a country that has high population growth and uneven infrastructure development. So that Indonesia must accelerate infrastructure development so that the quality of life of the community is getting better. Acceleration of infrastructure development requires good spatial planning so that the area of space becomes safe, comfortable and productive to be occupied. Good spatial planning is obtained from short time parameters and optimal results in making city spatial plans where Airborne LiDAR is the answer. Then a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) is needed from the Digital Surface Model (DSM) screening process. DSM screening techniques to DTM are Cloth Simulation Filtering (CSF), Parameters-Free Ground Filtering (Mongus), Simple Morphological Filtering (SMRF) and Slope Based Filtering (SBF). To test the effectiveness of the four filtering methods, each method is tested in six topographic forms such as transverse watersheds, longitudinal watersheds, slopes above 30 percent, slopes below 30 percent, rural flat terrain and urban flat terrain. After testing, it was found that the DTM results from the Mongus method were the most accurate method after being compared with the other three methods and the RMSEz value range of the Mongus method for the six topographic forms was the lowest at 0,003 meters and the highest at 0,664 meters.
