Abstract
Statistical Quality Control (SQC) is a process to detect process shifts so that improvements can be made immediately. One of the tools in SQC is control charts. One of the control charts that has high sensitivity in detecting process shifts is the EWMA control chart which evolved into DEWMA and TEWMA. In 1998, a maximum control chart proposed to monitor the mean and variance shift in only one control chart. A combination of the TEWMA control chart and the maximum control chart was introduced by Chatterjee, K., Koukouvinos, C. dan Lappa, A. (2023) become TEWMA-Max control chart which is considered better for detecting shifts in mean and small process variance. In this study, the TEWMA-Max control chart is applied to detect shifts in the mean and/or variability of the yarn spinning process according to its applicable standard processes. It is obtained that the mean and the variance process have changed.
