STUDI KUALITATIF: INTENSI MENETAP ATAU BERPINDAH KERJA PADA KARYAWAN

Abstract

Perpindahan pekerjaan bukanlah fenomena baru di dunia kerja, hal ini sudah ada sejak awal era industri. Namun dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, aktivitas perpindahan pekerjaan di dunia kerja sebagian besar dikaitkan dengan karyawan generasi muda. Perilaku berpindah pekerjaan telah menjadi masalah penting bagi organisasi karena dapat menimbulkan kerugian. Organisasi perlu untuk menemukan faktor-faktor utama yang menginspirasi karyawan muda mereka untuk bertahan lebih lama sekaligus mencegah seringnya berpindah pekerjaan di organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui alasan mengapa seseorang memiliki intensi untuk menetap atau berpindah-pindah kerja. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi, diperoleh 4 orang partisipan yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan interpretative pheneomenological analysis. Penelitian ini menemukan sepuluh tema yang mendasari individu memilih menetap atau berpindah pekerjaan, yaitu faktor lingkungan kerja (rekan kerja, pimpinan, kondisi tempat kerja), gaji, beban kerja, peluang pengembangan diri dan jenjang karir, budaya organisasi, kemampuan beradaptasi di lingkungan kerja yang baru, keinginan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman dari tempat kerja lain, keyakinan individu terhadap perusahaannya, cara pandang individu terhadap kemampuannya di tempat kerja dan harapan keluarga.
