Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji hubungan antara internet escapism dengan kecenderungan kecanduan internet serta menguji apakah resiliensi online dapat berperan sebagai moderator. Penelitian ini melibatkan 219 remaja dari SMA N 4 Kota Bekasi kelas X, XI, dan XII sebagai partisipan penelitian. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan Skala Kecenderungan Kecanduan Internet (27 butir,  = 0,896), Skala Internet Escapism (9 butir,  = 0,835), dan Skala Resiliensi Online (12 butir,  = 0,707). Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana dan analisis regresi moderasi. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa internet escapism memiliki hubungan positif dengan kecenderungan kecanduan internet (rxy = 0,525) dan dapat menjadi prediktor yang signifikan, b = 1,240, t(217) = 9,077, p < 0,05; F(1, 217) = 82,391, p < 0,05. Internet escapism dapat menjelaskan variasi kecenderungan kecanduan internet sebanyak 27,5%. Resiliensi online tidak dapat menjadi moderator pada hubungan antara internet escapism dan kecenderungan kecanduan internet (p = 0,843, p > 0,05), namun berperan signifikan secara independen sebagai faktor promotif dalam model compensatory, b = -0,693, t(216) = -5,233, p < 0,05. Model compensatory adalah model di mana faktor promotif berperan negatif dan signifikan secara independen terhadap luaran negatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah internet escapism memiliki hubungan dengan kecenderungan kecanduan internet dan resiliensi online tidak signifikan berperan sebagai moderator.
