Tingginya aktifitas penangkapan tersebut menyebabkan jumlah populasi teripang terus menurun dengan tajam. Oleh karena itu, perlu diadakan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana kondisi teripang tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan November-Desember 2016 dengan 4 titik lokasi dimana titik 1 pada 5⁰87'05,38'' LS dan 110⁰36'33,25'' BT, titik 2 pada 5⁰88'45,90'' LS dan 110⁰35'81,89'' BT, titik 3 pada 5⁰88'18,65'' LS dan 110⁰34'82,57'' BT dan titik 4 pada 5⁰86'79,84'' LS dan 110⁰35'37,36'' BT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan kelimpahan teripang, mengetahui jumlah kandungan bahan organik sedimen perairan, sebaran spasial teripang tangkapan, dan hubungan bahan organik sedimen terhadap sebaran spasial teripang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Random Purposive Sampling . Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat 4 spesies yang teridentifikasi yaitu Actinopyga echinites , Holothuria edulis , H. nobilis , dan Stichopus variegatus . Kelimpahan Teripang tertinggi pada titik 2 dengan 7 ind/m 2 . Sebaran spasial teripang tertinggi terdapat pada titik 2 yang memiliki kandungan bahan organik sedimen (5.7 %). Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi, bahan organik sedimen berhubungan dengan sebaran teripang. Hasil perhitungan uji regresi, angka koefisien determinasi (R 2 ) adalah 0,603. Koefisien determinasi (R 2 ) tersebut menunjukan bahwa kandungan bahan organik pada sedimen berpengaruh sebesar 60,3% terhadap sebaran Teripang di perairan tersebut. Hal tersebut juga menunjukan bahwa variabel lain memiliki pengaruh sebesar 39,7% terhadap sebaran Teripang. Uji korelasi menunjukkan kategori korelasi kuat dengan (r) adalah 0,778. Angka koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,778 dapat diartikan bahwa hubungan kedua variabel yang diuji adalah sangat kuat. Nilai F signifikan 4,33% artinya variabel bebas berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap variabel terikat. Sea cucumber is one of the biota that its existence began to be threatened due to high catching activity. The high catching activity has caused the population of sea cucumbers to continue to decline sharply. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to find out how the condition of the sea cucumber. The study was conducted in November-December 2016 with 4 point locations where point 1 was at 5 ⁰ 87'05,38''LS and 110 ⁰ 36'33,25 '' BT, point 2 at 5 ⁰ 88'45,90 '' LS and 110 ⁰ 35'81, 89 '' BT, point 3 at 5 ⁰ 88'18,65 '' LS and 110 ⁰ 34'82,57 '' BT and point 4 at 5 ⁰ 86'79,84 '' LS and 110 ⁰ 35'37,36 '' BT. This study aims to determine the type and abundance of sea cucumbers, to know the amount of organic sedimentary water content, the spatial distribution of sea cucumbers, and the relationship of organic matter of sediment to the spatial distribution of sea cucumbers. The method used is Random Purposive Sampling. The results showed there were 4 species identified namely Actinopyga echinites, Holothuria edulis, H. nobilis, and Stichopus variegatus. Abundance of Sea Cucumber highest at point 2 with 7 ind/m 2 . The highest spatial distribution of sea cucumber is found at point 2 which has the content of organic sediment material (5.7%). Based on regression test result, organic sediment material is related to the distribution of sea cucumber. Result of calculation of regression test, coefficient of determination (R 2 ) is 0,603. Coefficient of determination (R 2 ) shows that the content of organic matter in sediment has an effect of 60.3% on the distribution of Sea Cucumber in these waters. It also shows that other variables have an effect of 39.7% on the distribution of Sea Cucumber. The correlation test indicates strong correlation category with (r) is 0.778. Correlation coefficient (r) = 0.778 can be interpreted that the relationship between the two variables tested is very strong. The value of F significant 4.33% means that independent variables significantly influence the dependent variable. }, issn = {2721-6233}, pages = {141--149} doi = {10.14710/marj.v7i1.22534}, url = {https://ejournal3.undip.ac.id/index.php/maquares/article/view/22534} }
