Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan November 2014 – Januari 2015 di muara Sungai Tulung, Demak. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan teknik survey lapangan. Metode ini digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan komposisi dan kelimpahan larva dan juvenil ikan di sekitar muara sungai. Lokasi penelitian dibagi dalam 3 stasiun, stasiun 1 terletak di daerah terluar sungai ke arah laut bagian utara dan selatan, stasiun 2 terletak di dekat pertemuan dua aliran sungai, yakni Sungai Tulung dan Sungai Sier, stasiun 3 terletak dekat dengan daratan dan permukiman warga. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji Regresi dan Korelasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa komposisi larva dan juvenil ikan sebanyak 7 famili dengan kelimpahan individu sebesar 266 ind/100 m 3 , antara lain Gobiidae (64,42%), Ambassidae (28,99%), Cynoglossidae (0,65%), Siluridae (4,57%), Eleotridae (0,40%), Labridae (0,34%) dan Engraulidae (0,65%). Kelimpahan larva dan juvenil ikan didominasi oleh famili Gobiidae. Nilai klorofil-α di stasiun 1, 2 dan 3 adalah 0,124 mg/m 3 ; 0,233 mg/m 3 dan 0,237 mg/m 3 tergolong kategori rendah. Terdapat hubungan yang cukup erat antara kelimpahan larva dan juvenil ikan dengan klorofil-α. High fluctuation of environment condition in estuary cause the some species can hold out. Composition and abundance fish of larvae and juvenile affected by some factors, which one is content of chlorophyll-α in the water. The aim of this research is to know relationship between content of chlorophyll-α in around estuary with compositon and abundance fish of larvae and juvenile. This research was conducted in November 2014 – January 2015 at estuary of Tulung River, Demak. The method used in this research is descriptive with field survey technique. This method was used to describe compositon and abundance fish of larvae and juvenile in estuary. Location of study were divided into three stations, station 1 st is located in the outer area of the river toward the sea to the north and south, station 2 nd is located near the confluence of two streams, Tulung River dan Sier River, station 3 rd is located close to the mainland and residency. Analysis of the data used in this research is Regretion and Correlation Test. Based on the result of research showed that composition of larvae and juvenile are 7 families with abundance of individual amounted to 266 ind/100 m 3 , included from Gobiidae (64,42%), Ambassidae (28,99%), Cynoglossidae (0,65%), Siluridae (4,57%), Eleotridae (0,40%), Labridae (0,34%) and Engraulidae (0,65%). Abundance fish of larvae and juvenile dominated by the family Gobiidae.
