Abstract

Kebutuhan energi yang terus berkembang akibat pertumbuhan populasi dan industrialisasi mendorong pencarian sumber energi alternatif yang berkelanjutan. Energi surya, sebagai salah satu solusi terbarukan, menawarkan potensi besar untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi dunia. Teknologi fotovoltaik (PV/T) telah berkembang pesat, namun efisiensi konversi energi masih terhambat oleh peningkatan suhu panel surya yang dapat menurunkan kinerjanya. Penelitian ini fokus pada penggunaan Material Berubah Fasa (MBF) untuk mengatasi permasalahan suhu tinggi pada panel surya. MBF dapat menyerap panas laten selama perubahan fase dan menstabilkan suhu panel, meningkatkan efisiensinya. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi pengaruh variasi sudut sirip pipa dalam sistem pendinginan hibrida yang menggabungkan MBF dan pipa pendingin. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan MBF jenis palm wax dan menganalisis pengaruh berbagai konfigurasi pipa terhadap temperatur panel surya dan suhu outlet pipa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan MBF palm wax dapat menurunkan suhu panel surya hingga 78,77°C. Variasi terbaik untuk menurunkan temperatur panel dan meningkatkan suhu outlet ditemukan pada sudut sirip 80° dengan Reynold 10000.
