Abstract

Until now, waste is still a problem that must be faced by Indonesia. To deal with this problem, the role of various stakeholders is needed through collaboration. This study focuses on the collaboration process in waste management at BUMDes Murakabi, Gondosari Village, Kudus. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the collaborative governance process in waste management at BUMDes Murakabi, Gondosari Village along with its supporting and inhibiting factors. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews and literature studies. The results of the study show that the collaborative governance process is still not running optimally because the five dimensions of the collaboration process, namely face-to-face dialogue, building trust, commitment to the process, mutual understanding, and temporary results have not been running optimally. The supporting factors found in this study lie in the starting conditions and facilitative leadership, while institutional design is an inhibiting factor. The suggestions given in this study are to conduct regular meetings and information disclosure to the village community, make Operational Standards to sort waste, socialize waste management to village officials, make village regulations on village waste management in which there are recommendations to reduce single-use items and conduct waste sorting accompanied by sanctions for people who litter.
