INOVASI APLIKASI WISTAKON (WISATA KOTA CIREBON) DALAM MENINGKATKAN LAYANAN PARIWISATA KOTA CIREBON
Abstract
Technological innovations in the tourism sector play an important role in improving the quality of services and experiences for tourists. The Wistakon application (Cirebon City Tour) is a digital platform developed by the Cirebon City Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) as a pioneer of Cirebon City's flagship tourism products with national achievements in the tourism and culture categories is clear proof that this application is able to compete at the national level and make a significant contribution to the tourism image of Cirebon City. The problem that arises that the WISTAKON Application does not run properly is reviewed from a server that is often interrupted or bugged. In addition, problems related to socialization that have not expanded have become problems that occur in the running of the WISTAKON Application. This research aims to see the progress of public sector innovation in the provision of tourism services in Cirebon City through the WISTAKON Application. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observations, and literature studies. This research is based on five characteristics of innovation put forward by Everett Rogers, namely Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Complexity, Trialability,and observability. The results of the study show that the WISTAKON application has not been fully implemented optimally when viewed from the five attributes of innovation. The findings in this study are related to supporting factors according to Everett Rogers that affect innovation, namely the desire to improve service quality, freedom of expression, and harmonious environmental conditions. According to Alburry, the inhibiting factors that affect innovation are, short budget periods, inability to face risks and changes, and administrative pressures and obstacles.
