Abstract
China has been trying to enhance their industry production in pursuit of
economic growth to overcome poverty in the region.In other hand, the
industrial growth have a negative impact on the environment, causing severe
air pollution. Air pollution did not only hurt China but spread to South
Korea’s region, which is causing problem to South Korea. This study aims to
find why South Korea did not protest related to China’s Transboundary Air
Pollution. The study uses qualitative research method with analythic
descriptive research type. The study results are.The Cooperation between
China and South Korea to reduce transboundary air pollution, both bilateral
and multilateral are the Korea-China Environmental Cooperation Agreement
dan the Korea-China Environmental Industry Investment Forum, Tripartite
Environment Ministers Meeting (TEMM), Northeast Asian Subregional
Program for Environmental Cooperation (NEASPEC), the Acid Deposition
and Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET) sand Long-range
Transboundary Air Pollution in Northeast Asia (LTP), Northwest Pacific
Action Plan (NOWPAP), Northeast Asian Conference on Environmental
Cooperation (NEAC) and Environment Congress for Asia and the
Pacific(ECO ASIA). Beside it,the main factor which is led South Korea did
not protest to China’s transboudary air pollution is economy factor.
