Based on this comparison, the Q method is proven to provide more optimal inventory control with continuous stock monitoring and order placement based on accurate reorder points. Thus, the application of the CRS method can improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of inventory management in the company. Abstract
This study analyzes the inventory control of oil filter raw materials at PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk by comparing two inventory management methods, namely the Continuous Review System (Q Method) and the Periodic Review System (P Method) in an effort to minimize total inventory costs. The focus of the research is to evaluate the effectiveness of each method in responding to the actual needs of the company, especially in terms of cost efficiency and accuracy of stock management. The analysis results show that the Continuous Review System (CRS) method is able to reduce the total inventory cost by Rp1,461,950.01 or 5.54% compared to the company's actual conditions where the ordering lot is 351 units. Meanwhile, the Periodic Review System (PRS) method resulted in cost savings of Rp942,941.39 or 3.57%. Based on this comparison, the Q method is proven to provide more optimal inventory control with continuous stock monitoring and order placement based on accurate reorder points. Thus, the application of the CRS method can improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of inventory management in the company.
