Abstract

Quality control is a process carried out with the aim of
ensuring that the production output meets the specified
quality standards. Perusahaan XYZ is a service
company engaged in water distribution, in which there
are issues with the quality of the production water. Some
of the production water still does not meet the quality
standards. Based on calculations, a Defects Per Million
Opportunities (DPMO) value of 2.465.277,7778 with a
process sigma value of 2.1855 was obtained. The
purpose of this study is to improve the quality of the
production water. This quality improvement is carried
out using the six sigma method with the Define,
Measure, Analyze, Improve concept. The tools used in
this study are Pareto diagrams, u-control charts,
fishbone diagrams, and recommendations for
improvements are made using the Failure Mode and
Effect Analysis (FMEA) method on the highest RPN
value.
