Dalam prosesnya, masih sering dijumpai reject yang melebihi target perusahaan, yaitu sebesar 0,5%, sehingga dibutuhkan sebuah metode pengendalian kualitas. Analisis pengendalian kualitas dalam penelitian ini adalah metode six sigma menggunakan pendekatan siklus DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, dan Control). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis cacat yang paling sering muncul, yakni botol tanpa cap dan volume air kurang. Dalam memproduksi satu juta produk, masih terdapat 1.138 unit cacat yang menandakan bahwa proses memiliki nilai 4,552𝜎. Setelah dilakukan analisis menggunakan cause and effect diagram, diberikan rekomendasi perbaikan terkait faktor man, machine, method, material, dan environment yang dapat membantu perusahaan meminimasi reject proses sekaligus meningkatkan nilai sigma perusahaan. The increasing public need for drinking water causes bottled drinking water (AMDK) companies compete to improve and maintain their quality in order to maintain consumer satisfaction. PT Tirta Investama Pabrik Klaten, which produces drinking water under the AQUA trademark seeks to minimize the reject process in its production, including on 600 mL drinking water bottles. In the process, rejects exceeding the company's target of 0.5% are still frequently encountered, thus requiring a quality control method. The quality control analysis in this research is conducted using the six sigma method with the DMAIC cycle approach (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). The research findings indicate that the most common types of defects are bottles without caps and insufficient water volume. In the production of one million products, there are still 1.138 defective units, indicating that the process has a value of 4,552σ. After conducting an analysis using a cause and effect diagram, recommendations for improvement are provided regarding the factors of man, machine, method, material, and environment, which can assist the company in minimizing process rejects while simultaneously improving the company's sigma value.
