ABSTRAK

Perumda Air Minum Sendang Kamulyan Kabupaten Batang adalah perusahaan daerah dengan proses bisnis pada sektor pengolahan dan pendistribusian air minum di Kabupaten Batang. Dalam memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih pelanggan, perusahaan dituntut untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan pengelolaan sumber daya agar lebih efisien. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeteksi adanya pemborosan yang terjadi dalam proses produksi unit Instalasi Penjernihan Air (IPA) Wonotunggal dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan minimasi waste. Untuk itu diperlukan pendekatan untuk meminimalisir waste dengan metode lean manufacturing. Dalam mendeteksi waste digunakan kuesioner Waste Assessment Model (WAM), yang terdiri atas 2 kuesioner yaitu Waste Relationship Matrix untuk menentukan keterkaitan antar waste dan Waste Assessment Questionnaire untuk mengetahui waste kritis dalam proses produksi. Waste kritis terdeteksi dalam proses produksi yaitu waste defect, inappropriate motion, inventory, dan transportation. Setelah didapatkan waste kritis yang terjadi, maka akan dilakukan pencarian akar masalah dengan tools Root Cause Analysis (RCA) dan penyusunan langkah perbaikan dengan Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).

[Identification Of Waste Using Waste Assessment Model (Wam) In The Implementation Of Lean Manufacturing For Improving Water Processing Production (Case Study: Wonotunggal Water Treatment Plant Unit, Batang Regional Drinking Water Company)] Sendang Kamulyan Regional Drinking Water Company in Batang Regency is a local company engaged in the processing and distribution of drinking water in Batang Regency. In order to meet the clean water needs of its customers, the company is required to improve its performance and resource management to be more efficient. This research is conducted to detect any wastage that occurs in the production process of the Wonotunggal Water Treatment Plant (IPA) unit and provide recommendations for waste minimization improvements. Therefore, an approach is needed to minimize waste using the lean manufacturing method. In detecting waste, the Waste Assessment Model (WAM) questionnaire is used, which consists of two questionnaires: the Waste Relationship Matrix to determine the interrelationships between wastes and the Waste Assessment Questionnaire to identify critical waste in the production process. Critical wastes detected in the production process include waste defects, inappropriate motion, inventory, and transportation. Once the critical wastes are identified, RCA tools are used to identify the underlying problems and a corrective action plan is developed using FMEA.
