ANALISIS PEMBOROSAN PADA ALIRAN PRODUKSI TABLET EFFERVESCENT DENGAN TOOL VALUE STREAM MAPPING PADA PT XYZ (Studi Kasus : PT. XYZ)

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang kesehatan seperti pembuatan suplemen dan obat-obatan ini berdiri sejak tahun 1972. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk terutama untuk effervescent, dibuat regulasi kebijakan pada lini produksi. Meskipun jumlah defect pada tablet berkurang, waktu produksi meningkat secara drastis. Operation Excellence mempunyai tanggung jawab untuk mengetahui penyebab besarnya waktu produksi secara keseluruhan, memberikan solusi serta melakukan improvement dari sector produksi terutama di bagian effervescent. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pencatatan waktu serta kegiatan dari awal mula bahan baku di terima sampai ke tangan customer dan kemudian waktunya dicatat untuk diketahui penyebab kenaikan waktu produksi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan lean dibuat value stream mapping lalu diidentifikasi tiap tiap waste yang ada. Kemudian di tentukan waste yang paling berpengaruh. Setelah itu digunakan tools 5 whys dan diagram fishbone untuk mengetahui penyebab dari besarnya waktu tersebut serta diberikan saran perbaikan yang sesuai dengan penyebab dari masalah tersebut. Temuan utama dari penelitian ini dengan mengimplementasikan saran perbaikan diharapkan dapat mengurangi pemborosan dan waktu yang tidak memberikan nilai tambah hingga 82%.

ABSTRACT

PT XYZ, a company engaged in health such as the manufacture of supplements and drugs, is established since 1972. To improve product quality especially for effervescent, the company has made policy regulation on the production line. Although the number of defects in tablets decreases, the production time increases dramatically. Operation Excellence has the responsibility to know the cause of the increasing production time, provide solutions and make improvements from the production sector especially in the effervescent. In this research, time and activity records are recorded from the beginning of raw materials received to the hands of the customer and then the time recorded for the cause of the increase in production time. Using a lean approach, the value stream mapping is then identified for each waste. Then determine the most influential waste. After that use tools 5 whys and fishbone diagram to find the cause of the amount of time and then suggestions of improvement will be given in accordance with the cause of the problem. The main findings of this study by implementing improvement suggestions are expected to reduce waste and time that does not add value up to 82%.
